The Tudor Black Bay 79220B was released in 2016 as part of the Tudor brand’s relaunch. The Black Bay is made inspired by Tudor’s vintage dive watches “Submariner” from the 1950s and 1960s which featured the iconic “big crown” without crown guards, thus giving the Black Bay a vintage style. The 79220B features a Tudor modified ETA movement which has a power reserve of approximately 38 hours. It has a domed sapphire crystal, giving the watch a vintage look, and is waterproof to 200 m (660 ft). This watch comes on Tudor’s aged blue leather strap with folding clasp and safety catch. The case is 41 mm, made in stainless steel, with a polished and satin finish. In true diver watch fashion, it has a unidirectional rotatable steel bezel, with a matt blue disc.
