Epoch Stockholm Presents the Automatic Calendar – The Start of a New Chapter

Millenary Watches is proud to be one of only a few selected official retailers for the Swedish watch brand EPOCH Stockholm.

Epoch has recently presented a new collection of timepieces – the Automatic Calendar, containing three versions. But this is not just a new model, it is also the beginning of a new chapter for Epoch. The Automatic Calendar is the result of a resurrected partnership between two of the greatest pioneers in the Swedish watch industry – Christer Sjöö and Mikel Sandström, who are also the founders of the most well-known Swedish watch brand, Sjöö Sandström.

As the name suggests, the watches are equipped with a calendar function with a day and a date indicator, and to stay true to the Swedish heritage by using a day wheel in Swedish.

The reason why the Automatic Calendar is the start of a new chapter for EPOCH is that they are the first automatic watches presented by the brand for many years. Epoch has previously had a number of automatic timepieces in its collection but then moved completely to quartz. With this step, EPOCH is therefore back into a territory that watch enthusiasts and horology geeks particularly appreciate.

The new EPOCH watches are special for many reasons, but most importantly, they are powered by a durable and reliable ETA caliber (ETA 2834-2), and this together with EPOCH’S history, ethos, concept, and designs, results in automatic watches that stand out from the crowd and offer something new and different compared to other watches out there.

With that said, the new Automatic Calendar watches are designed for people who appreciate fine watchmaking, but also want something different and unique with an appealing history, and that not a lot of people wear. In that sense, they work as great conversation pieces.

The new collection is launched with three different dial colors, one of which is a limited edition. They are available in Orange, silver, and black.

The watches are presented with a diameter of 40mm, have scratch-resistant sapphire crystals, and offer a water-resistance of 100 meters/330 feet. The automatic ETA caliber 2834-2 is self-winding and has a day and day indicator.

Automatic Calendar Limited Orange

The Automatic Calendar Orange is the first watch to be presented in the new Automatic Calendar collection. To celebrate the new launch, it is also made as a limited edition of only 50 numbered pieces. What stands out about this watch is of course its striking orange dial which shines brightly and adds a touch of color to any outfit. The dial is decorated with careful attention to detail and has polished applied hour markers and beautifully finished hands with applied luminous material.

Automatic Calendar Silver

The Automatic Calendar silver is based on the limited edition orange Automatic Calendar, but is part of Epoch’s standard collection and thus not limited. It is presented with a more discreet and classic – yet equally beautiful – brushed silver dial which makes this watch suitable for any occasion and outfit.

Automatic Calendar Black

If you prefer a watch with a classic black dial, this watch is for you. It offers all of the things we love about the Automatic Calendar but has a classic and toned-down black dial, yet with beautiful attention to detail in the form of hand-applied hour markers, and beautifully finished hands.
