The Tudor Fifty-Eight reference 79030N was one of the most anticipated watches at Baselworld watch fair in 2018. The Tudor Fifty-Eight is built on Tudor’s successful Heritage Black Bay model which is a range of watches inspired by the 1950s and 1960s dive watches from Tudor (as well as its parent company Rolex, which it shared a lot with at the time). The name Fifty-Eight refers to the year 1958 which is the year when Tudor launched a Submariner model which the modern Fifty-Eight has taken inspiration from. This watch features plenty of design features which are clearly inspired by vintage dive watches, such as a big crown, snowflake hands, rivet bracelet, and gilt text on the dial. With its 39mm case, down from 41 mm from the standard Black Bay watches, the Tudor Fifty-Eight sits comfortably and slimmed on the wrist. It also features an MT (Manufacture Tudor) in-house movement.
