Rolex Cosmograph Daytona two-tone in 18kt yellow gold and stainless steel reference 16523. The watch comes complete with box and papers dated 1994. It comes “full set” except for the certificate cardholder. The watch is in used condition and shows natural signs of wear for its age. It is presented with a champagne sunburst dial with tritium hour markers which is period-correct for this watch. Note that the dial has a scratch on the sub-dial positioned at 6 o’clock.
The watch is presented with a 40mm stainless steel case fitted with an 18k yellow gold engraved bezel and gold crown and pushers. It is presented on an oyster bracelet with 18k yellow gold middle-links and stainless steel outer links. Apart from normal signs of wear which is to be expected from a watch of this age, the case and bracelet do not appear to be overly polished, with thick lugs and the coronet on the bracelet crown still in a nice shape.
The Daytona 16523 was released in 1988 and is known as the “Zenith Daytona” due to the fact that it is powered by the legendary El Primero Automatic Chronograph Movement.
