The watch is in good condition for its age but has superficial signs of wear in the form of scratches, swirls, and hairlines. Please refer to the images to decide the condition. With its sporty profile and comfortable-to-wear case, it’s easy to understand why the Rolex Daytona has come to become such a popular watch.

Rolex introduced the Daytona 116520 in 2000 at the BaselWorld Fair. This watch represented the first completely new in-house movement that Rolex had designed in more than 50 years: the fully-integrated self-winding chronograph function called the Caliber 4130. Prior to this, Rolex used a Zenith El Primero movement, and the introduction of the own in-house movement marked the start of a new era for Rolex which only includes using in-house movements. The Rolex 116520 is very similar to the prior non-in-house reference 16520.

Some of the differences include moving the seconds indicator from 9 o’clock to 6 o’clock and aligning the hour register with the 30-minute register.
