This Rolex Explorer II reference 216570 features an instantly-recognizable and beautiful white dial. The model is based on the predecessor Rolex Explorer 16570 which had a smaller case. The case is 42 mm and is made in Rolex’s unique 904L Oystersteel.

It is powered by a Perpetual, mechanical, self-winding 3187 Manufacture Rolex movement.

The watch features a contrasting orange GMT hand which allows you to keep track of two time zones at the same time and a 24-hour GMT bezel. The Explorer II 216570 has many design features which the first Rolex Explorer II watch had, which is the “Steve McQueen” ref 1655. The Explorer II 216570 is available with either a black dial or a white dial, also known as “polar”. You can say that it is a very underestimated piece, as it is not hugely popular, and not anywhere near as popular as the Submariner, even though it features many of the characteristics that a Submariner has. But the fact that the Explorer II is underestimated is a great thing if you’re looking to buy a pre-owned such because it means that you can get them quite a bit below retailpricec – just like this one.
