The Rolex Explorer 216570 “Polar” has a white dial, contrasted by a striking orange arrow GMT hand and “Explorer II” writing on the dial. The watch is made in Oystersteel, 904L steel and is equipped with a brushed robust Oyster bracelet, equipped with an Oysterlock folding clasp.

The watch is equipped with a Rolex-developed and manufactured calibre 3187 which is a self-winding mechanical movement, fitted with a Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers. This allows for a greater resistance to shocks and to extreme conditions. The watch is waterproof to 100 meters / 330 feet.

Most importantly is the watch’s GMT function. The watch is equipped with a GMT hand and a 24-hour bezel which enables the wearer to distinguish between night and day and keep track of two time-zones simultaneously.
