In the watch world, yellow is a very bold and unorthodox color. With that in mind, it doesn’t come as a surprise that an orthodox and traditional brand hasn’t made a lot of yellow dial watches over the years. In fact, up until 2020 and the release of the bright and colorful Oyster Perpetual Collection, the only true yellow dial watch that Rolex had ever made was the Stella lacquer dial.
Since yellow is such an uncommon color being used for Rolex watches, it’s easy to see how the release of the yellow Oyster Perpetual in 2020 came as a big surprise for a lot of people. It was something bold that few expected Rolex to do.
Some might argue that Rolex’s “yellow gold” or champagne dials are yellow and in terms of color, they are very similar. But they are not true yellow colors and so this is why we have not included them in this list.
However, if you are a fan of yellow gold dials, you have a vast selection of champagne dial watches from Rolex. So whilst true yellow dial Rolex watches are highly limited and uncommon in Rolex’s collection, champagne dial watches are extremely popular and are a go-to dial choice for Rolex.
