What Service Can You Expect When Purchasing A Rolex?
Purchasing a Rolex from an Authorized Dealer is a huge momentum for a lot of people. Finally getting the waited call for a special model, or perhaps being lucky enough to find your dream Rolex in the store. Despite being your first or third Rolex purchased from an authorized Rolex retailer, it is good to know which service you can expect whilst do so.
Once you have gotten “the call” for a model which you are waiting for, or perhaps if you are lucky enough to find your dream Rolex when walking in the store, one thing always to expect is one sales assistant or any other staff working in the store to greet you.
It is also common that a sales assistant asks if you are interested in viewing any watches that they carry in stock, or if you are looking for anything else.
1. If you have found a watch that you are looking to purchase, you will always be invited to sit down and look at the watch calmly.
If the sales assistant is in a good mood or sees that you have the intention of buying this watch but hesitate in some way, it is common to offer and serve a coffee or any other type of beverage, such as Champagne, or perhaps a beer if the store has it available.
2. Once you have decided to purchase the watch, most commonly the sales assistant will size the watch for your wrist. During this time, the bracelet is often shortened by one of the watchmakers in-store and not the sales assistant, during this time it is common to activate the warranty, and have you as a customer pay for the watch.
3. When the watch is returned by the watchmaker, typically the sales assistant starts to explain how the watch works, such as how to set the time and date, or if there are any other complications to the watch. The sales assistant then typically continues by setting the correct time and date, or any other complication to the right setting, and then hands over the watch to see if it fits your wrist or if any other adjustments are required to be made.
4. When the watch is perfectly adjusted, you have paid for it, and everything seems to be okay, the job of the sales assistant usually is over. At this stage, the sales assistant is there for you if you would have any further questions, or if you would have any other type of request, such as setting up a list of watches that you are interested in.
5. Receiving gifts when purchasing a Rolex watch is not uncommon. Stores usually purchase small accessories from Rolex, which are of high quality and with the Rolex logo. Typical accessories that are given out are belts, perfume, travel pouches, caps, golf pegs and other small accessories of qualities.
Of course the purchase experience can differ depending on which AD you are purchasing from. For instance, the small accessories that can be given, are optional for each authorized dealer to purchase or not. Becuase of this, some dealers have accessories, whilst some don’t.
The most important part when purchasing a Rolex watch in store, is of course to get a pleasent experience.
